This timely drama was written by South Asian writer and artist Sheila James inspired by the story of Reena Virk. The backwards narrative reveals the banal motivations behind the murder of a teenager in a small BC town. The story reveals why and how 16 yearold Manjeet Singh was murdered by her teenage peers. Questions of privilege, peer pressure, and complicity are explored throughout this layered story that examines the roots of racism in contemporary North merican society. This project was a collaboration between the UBC Theatre, Film and Creative Writing programs.
